Subjects, built from a sentence

A subject is a person, company, product, topic or event. Say “Watch Halden Mobile and their CEO”, and Typestream works out who they are, sets them up as two subjects, and asks only if a name could mean more than one thing.

It checks each profile against recent articles and reads the borderline ones itself until the judge agrees with it. Then it offers to fill in the last 30 days, with the price.

Every article, judged

JEV, TypeSafe’s decision model, reads every new article and judges whether it’s about your subject, how it treats the subject (not the article’s overall mood), and how prominently. Each judgement is a calibrated probability.

Coverage shows every article live, with its outlet and tier, its tone, and how sure the judge is. Choose Precise, Balanced or Broad and it re-filters at once, without running anything again.

Profiles that maintain themselves

The profile reads like a brief: what the subject is, what counts as coverage and what doesn’t, the names it goes by, and the people and products related to it.

Once a week the AI rechecks fresh borderline articles, adds new names as they appear (a new product, a nickname the press has coined), and tightens anything that has drifted. Every change is logged with its reason, and can be reverted.

  • Unsure is shown, not hidden

    Borderline articles are drawn lighter and can be filtered out, but they’re never hidden by default.
